Significant Controllers Register (SCR) — Companies Registry
Type: Beneficial-ownership-style register. · Maintained by: Hong Kong Companies Registry (administered by companies themselves).
Cost / access: Inspection rights vary; not a generally searchable public register.
Useful for: Hong Kong-incorporated companies are required to keep a Significant Controllers Register identifying persons with significant control. Access is to law-enforcement officers and, in limited circumstances, others with a legitimate basis.
Limitations: Not a public-search database. Companies hold the register; regulator access is gated.
